Silver Molten Earring

The Silver Molten Earring is a stud earring with a realistic liquid texture creating an illusion jewelry piece. The earring is made from Rhodium Plated 925 Sterling Silver, the same material as our hallmarked pieces.

 The Surrealism art movement depicted unnerving, illogical scenes, creating a new world through radical ways of thinking. This style of artwork has heavily influenced our Surrealism Collection, with the use of everyday objects transformed into precious metal jewelry.

The Molten Earring design is inspired by the infamous Salvador Dali painting "The Persistence of Memory". The painting depicts clocks melting, suggesting a surrealist view on Albert Einstein's "Theory of Relativity".

This unusual statement earring depicts a thick drip of molten metal melting down your ear. The earring has a stud function with a butterfly clasp and is finished in a premium Rhodium Silver plating that won't discolor or age. Rhodium plating is a premium Silver coloured plating that gives the jewelry a polished, reflective finish. As it is part of the platinum metal family, it is harder than gold so provides jewelry with a durable surface which resists tarnish. The stud gage is Sterling Silver, which is naturally hypoallergenic, perfect for wearing earrings all day without irritation.
